Lucknow, Mar 14 (ANI): Preparations are in full swing for the swearing-in ceremony of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister designate Akhilesh Yadav, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
Samajwadi Party (SP) spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary said the first priority of Akilesh Yadav would be to restore law and order and take steps for the development of the State.
"Democracy would be reinstated; the kind of hooliganism, which was going on unchecked for the last five years would be stopped. Anti-social elements would have no place in the state; they would be in either jail or outside the state," he added.
Akhilesh was on Saturday named the new chief minister of Uttar Pradesh by his party's lawmakers after the Samajwadi Party (SP) routed all its rivals in the recently concluded state assembly elections, clinching 224 of 403 seats in the state assembly.
At 38, he will become the youngest chief minister of Uttar Pradesh after taking oath of office on March 15. (ANI)
