Sarkozy apologises to policewoman after teenage son throws tomato, pellets at her

Paris, Mar.12 (ANI): French President Nicholas Sarkozy has had to apologise to a policewoman after his 15-year-old son threw a tomato at her from the presidential palace.

Louis, 15, Sarkozy's son from his ex-wife Cecilia, and his friends threw tomatoes and some pellets at the officer from the Elysee Palace courtyard.

According to The Telegraph, the policewoman was in the street outside the palace grounds when she was struck on her cheek.

Sarkozy later met with the policewoman and apologised for his son's behaviour, according to police sources.

The president's office declined to comment. (ANI)
