New Delhi, Mar 11 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shahnawaz Hussain on Sunday said that the future of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) is at stake.
"UPA doesn't have a future now. There is nothing like UPA in the country. UPA is now a topsy-turvy alliance. The results that have come in the recently held Assembly election in five states of the country have toppled the alliance.
"There is no future for the allied parties in the UPA. Even they are distressed with UPA. The people of Congress party are troubling the people of the opposition parties, and even they are not leaving any opportunity in giving troubles to its allied parties," said Hussain.
Reacting over the visit of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the swearing-in ceremony of Parkash Singh Badal and Akhilesh Yadav, he said that it was a good indication for the Indian politics.
"It is an auspicious indication for Indian politics and it is true that Parkash Singh Badal has invited non-congress Chief Ministers apart from NDA members and everybody will attend the event. It is good indication," he said.
Badal has invited Banerjee and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha to his swearing-in ceremony, which is scheduled on March 14. (ANI)
