London, Mar 11(ANI): Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has said it is painful for him to not get ample amount of playing time, but he is available whenever the team needs him.
Berbatov, however, feels that when a player is part of a big squad like United, then such kind of situations do arise.
"We have a big squad and sometimes you know you are not going to play. It's sad and painful, but you need to be strong and prepared when your team-mates need help," the Sun quoted Berbatov as saying.
He believes it is all about being ready, and since he was a part of the team, he wants the team to win collectively.
"It's just about being ready. We are a team and we want to win together," he said.
Berbatov has made only five Premier League starts this season and was not even on the bench for last Sunday's 3-1 win over Spurs.
The 30.75 million pound worth Bulgarian said that he was ready to prove his worth and help United clinch their 20th league title.
"Every time I have played I think I have done well. I'm ready and waiting whenever the boss gives me a chance to show my quality and deliver. I want to do as much as I can to help us win the title," he added. (ANI)
