New Delhi, Mar 6 (ANI): Despite early negative trends, Congress leader Harish Rawat expressing confidence on Tuesday said that his party has very good chances of forming the government in Uttar Pradesh.
Rawat also ruled out the possibility of President's rule in Uttar Pradesh.
"We will form the government in all five states. And we will be in a very good position in Uttar Pradesh. Congress has very good chances in Uttar Pradesh President rule is not an option. Congress always looks for the option of forming a proper government," said Rawat.
". So, I consider the debate about President's rule to be unnecessary. I have full confidence that a government will be formed in Uttar Pradesh and I also have the confidence that the Congress has good chances of forming the government there," he added.
As per the early trends of the Uttar Pradesh assembly results, Mulayam Singh Yadav's Samajwadi Party (SP) is leading in 103 seats followed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 25 seats. The Congress and its ally are leading in 26 seats. (ANI)
