New Delhi, Mar 4 (ANI): With the exit polls predict a clean sweep for the Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, Bharatiya Janata Party (BSP) leader Rajnath Singh on Sunday rejected the forecast saying that they may not always be right.
" Exit polls are not usually right," Singh told ANI here.
He further said his party would prefer to sit in the Opposition if it did not secure an absolute majority in the Uttar Pradesh assembly election.
"The BJP would not forge an alliance with any party for government-formation in the state," he added.
The Uttar Pradesh polls are being viewed as an opportunity for major political parties to re-establish their foothold in the country's fifth largest and most populous state.
The first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh phases of polling occurred on February 8, 11, 15, 19, 23, 28 respectively and March 3.
The poll results will broadly indicate trends for the 2014 general elections. (ANI)
