Sacha Baron Cohen pours ashes on Ryan Seacrest at Oscars

London, Feb 27 (ANI): Sacha Baron Cohen, who arrived in character from his upcoming movie 'The Dictator' at the 84th Academy Awards, spilled his 'mate' Kim Jong-il's fake ashes over Ryan Seacrest.

As a part of a massive publicity stunt, Cohen came decked up as General Aladeen - his character in the forthcoming flick- and paraded around with two stunning lady soldiers and some sort of urn.

But it soon became clear exactly what was in the urn as 'The Dictator' started doing interviews on the red carpet - General Aladeen's best mate Kim Jong-il's (fake) ashes, the Mirror reported.

"It gave me the opportunity to bring my dear friend and double tennis partner Kim Jong Il," he told E! host Ryan Seacrest.

At this point, Sacha decided to step up his strange promotional drive - dumping the entire contents of the urn over a very shocked Ryan.

"If someone asks what you are wearing, tell them Kim Jong Il!" he shouted.

Following the incidence, Sacha was soon grabbed by security guards, with one trying to get him in a headlock as the crowd gasped.

'The Dictator's army associates proved useless, staring at their leader while he struggled to get away from their clutches as Seacrest made a joke about being covered in white stuff.

And as 'The Dictator' slipped away, vacuum cleaners surfaced from nowhere and swept Kim Jong-il's remains into a close by bin.

Sacha has been fighting with organisers of the 84 Academy Awards all week after they banned him from attending the event in character because for some reason they thought that he would cause trouble.

However, the British actor publicly attacked the awards for being too strict and was eventually allowed to attend the ceremony as General Aladeen. (ANI)
