London, Feb 26(ANI): Tottenham Hotspur has offered manager Harry Redknapp a new three-year deal until 2015, to prevent him from leaving the club for England's national team.
The London based club also faces a triple nightmare, with Redknapp determined to take his right-hand men Joe Jordan and Kevin Bond with him if he accepts the England job.
There are concerns escalating within the Football Association (FA) circles that it will already cost 5 million pounds in compensation just to drag Redknapp away.
In fact, Pep Guardiola's name is already being whispered among senior FA officials, who are aware the Barcelona boss has yet to sign a new deal.
Redknapp is currently on 3.1 million pounds per year contract and stressed ahead of Sunday's crunch clash with Arsenal that the FA have yet to call.
His current deal expires in June 2013 and it has a £5m release clause. The signing of a new deal with a salary in excess of 4 million pounds plus big bonuses would mean Spurs could up the compensation to 10 million pounds. (ANI)
