Washington, Feb 21 (ANI): Nearly three in ten Americans believe that the United States' enemy number one is Iran, a poll has revealed.
According to the Gallup poll covering 1,029 adults, 32 percent Americans said that Iran is the one country in the world they consider to be the US' greatest enemy at present.
China comes in second on the list, with 23 percent naming it the greatest enemy. North Korea, Afghanistan and Iraq round out the top five with ten percent, seven percent and five percent, respectively, Politico reports.
According to the report, the 32 percent who said Iran is the US' biggest adversary marks the highest reading that Gallup has measured for the country.
The report also revealed that 37 percent of Republicans, 30 percent of Democrats and 31 percent of independents considered Iran as the nation's greatest enemy today.
Meanwhile, 18 percent of Democrats, 28 percent of Republicans and 24 percent of independents named China as top foe. (ANI)
