Clive Davis says 'you wait a lifetime for a voice like Whitney Houston'

Washington, Feb 19 (ANI): Whitney Houston's long-time mentor and music producer Clive Davis remembered the singer at her funeral on Saturday.

Houston's funeral was held at the New Hope Baptist Church in her hometown of Newark, New Jersey.

"You wait for a voice like that for a lifetime. You wait for a face like that, a smile like that, a presence like that for a lifetime. And when one person embodies it all, well it takes your breath away," he said.

"That's the way I felt in 1983 when in the middle of your act at Sweetwater's, Cissy, your daughter stepped forward and shattered me with her version of 'Greatest Love Of All'.

"And that night we connected and then we connected with each other every night thereafter for the rest of her life," he added. (ANI)
