Patna, Feb 17 (ANI): The Prime Minister of Nepal, Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, received a ceremonial welcome on his arrival here on Friday.
Dr. Bhattarai, who arrived here with an 18-member delegation, will inaugurate the three-day 'Global Summit on Changing Bihar for Forging Partnership for Development'.
The delegation includes Labour and Transport Minister Sarita Giri, Constituent Assembly members Hari Rokka and Khem Bam, Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister, Lilamani Poudel, and the Prime Minister's Economic Advisor Rameswar Khanal.
Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission of Nepal, Deependra Bahadur Kshetry, said that his country's government was committed to working with Bihar officials to ensure safety in both regions.
"From the side of Nepal, we are very much serious about the effects of security and we are very much concerned and our security force is also paying enough attention to have enough effects from the either sides of the country," he told the media here.
The Bihar Summit is expected to serve as a platform to share and boost economic experiences between Nepal and its neighbouring Indian states. (ANI)
