London, Feb 14(ANI): A deaf and mute Pakistani orphan has claimed before the court in sign language that she was slapped, beaten, sexually abused and hit with a rolling pin by her British abusers, while forced to work for no money.

The victim, who cannot be named for legal reason, was allegedly made to sleep on a concrete floor, with the door to her subterranial prison bolted, the Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester heard.

"I was sad and weak because I was working so hard. They used to hit me from being very, very little, all the time. I used to cook and clean for hours and hours," The Sun quoted the orphan, as communicating in sign language.

"She (Tallat Ashar) used to hit me with her ring, she used to hit me in the face and cut my face with her ring. It hurt. She would scratch me. I would be down in the cellar, sitting alone and very upset. I would sit there for a long, long time, really upset and crying. I could not get out," she added.

She also claimed that her alleged abuser, Ilyas Ashar, 83 had raped her.

"The old man, he's bad. He's the one who has sex with me."

But Ashar, 83, and his wife Tallat, 66, however, have denied the charges.

The victim's true age is not known. Her passport showed her age as 19 when she entered the UK. But medical tests showed she was more likely to have been between ten and 12.

It is also alleged state benefits were claimed in her name but never granted to her.

The girl has no family in the UK and has never been to school in Britain or Pakistan - and cannot read or write. (ANI)
