London, Feb 2 (ANI): Rapper K'naan is upset with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who used his song Wavin' Flag during his Florida primary victory speech.
K'naan revealed that he is looking forward to take a legal action against Romney as his campaign did not seek approval for using the song and that he would not have granted permission if it had, the Daily Express reported.
The Somali-born Canadian-based rapper also insisted that he would happily grant President Barack Obama's campaign the permission to use his song.
Wavin' Flag, which was an international hit for K'naan in 2010, has had several country-specific remixes, featuring artists from those territories.
It was co-written and co-produced by Bruno Mars's production team, The Smeezingtons.
K'naan asserted that he wants to make sure that Romney does not use his song further.
Romney spokesman Rick Gorka said the song was used through the campaign's regular blanket licence but, out of respect for K'naan's statement, would not be used again. (ANI)
