Washington, Feb 2(ANI): US President Barack Obama leads all four potential 2012 Republican White House contenders in Ohio, a new survey has revealed.
The poll by the Democratic-leaning pollster PPP found that Obama leads GOP frontrunner Mitt Romney by seven points, and Santorum by six points, Politico reports.
Obama also beats Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul by 12 and 10 points, respectively.
He, however, is approved by 40 percent of Independents and disapproved by 53 percent.
These figures show a marked improvement for Obama from the earlier PPP poll.
The poll comes after a week of intense focus on American manufacturing sector, income and tax code equality and the recovery of the American auto industry in the Rust Belt state. (ANI)
