Gurgaon (Haryana), Jan 31 (ANI): Doctors attending to Anna Hazare at Gurgaon's Medanta Hospital, said his condition is improving.
Doctor Awadhesh Dubey said: "Since yesterday, he (Anna Hazare) has shown further signs of improvement. According to doctors, his progress has been satisfactory and he is well on the road to recovery. His vital signs including his blood pressure, pulse rate, respiration are well under control. He rested well last night and has been put on soft diet. We expect him to remain in the hospital for the next few days and as soon as he is considered fit by the team of doctors, he will be discharged."
Dr. Dubey added that Hazare has now been shifted from the intensive care unit to a private ward.
Hazare was admitted to the hospital on Sunday following complaints of cough and backache.
Hazare was earlier treated at the Sancheti Hospital in Pune for acute bronchitis.
Last year, Hazare had sought medical help from Medanta Hospital after ending a 12-day fast at the Ramlila grounds in New Delhi. (ANI)
