Washington, Jan 26 (ANI): Nicola Roberts has revealed that she had to learn to be confident, especially when she became a solo star.
The Girls Aloud member admits that it took her a long time to feel comfortable in her own skin and she had to teach herself to cope with it after becoming a solo act.
"I didn't really know how to perform for a long time and I didn't feel comfortable with it," Contactmusic quoted the singer as telling Stylist Magazine.
"Even when I was on stage with the girls on our first few arena tours; I'd be enjoying myself because I was doing what I loved, but I couldn't really perform.
"I just stood there. I had to learn to have confidence.
The 'Lucky Day' hitmaker rose to fame on TV talent show 'Popstars: The Rivals', and she admits she has grown considerably in the 10 years since the show.
"I don't know where the last 10 years have gone. It's all been so fast.
"I think I'm more collected as a person.
"I have good morals, to a degree and I feel like I know myself very well.
"I know why I say things, why I do things; I know myself inside out," she added. (ANI)
