Someone should have knocked Ryan Giggs' teeth out years ago, says dad

London, Jan 23 (ANI): Ryan Giggs' dad has said that had someone knocked the footballer's teeth out a few years ago, he may not have had an eight-year affair with his brother Rhodri's wife Natasha.

Danny Wilson, who lost two teeth and suffered a fractured cheekbone when he was walloped by his cousin for getting too big for his boots, reckons the thumping kept him "grounded" and taught him to respect his family.

"Someone should have knocked his teeth out years ago," the Daily Star quoted Wilson as saying.

Although the rugby player had to lie to rugby bosses that he had been in a car crash when he could not play due to his injuries, he is now "best buddies" with his cousin.

Wilson was taught his lesson in family values when, as a rising star with Cardiff, a newspaper hailed him as the next "great" of Welsh rugby.

"It went straight to my head. I started strutting around the place as if I owned it. I thought I was the big man," he said.

"Then I was out on the town one night and -ignored my family, thought I was suddenly above them.

"My cousin wasn't having it and battered me.

"I was in a terrible state but I deserved it. It put me in my place and taught me a valuable lesson.

"That didn't happen to Ryan. As he's gone on to fame and fortune he's had no-one to keep his feet on the ground.

"Judging by what he has done to Rhodri, Ryan clearly doesn't respect his family.

"He's off living in his own world where he thinks he doesn't need anyone.

"But he will hang up his boots soon and won't have Manchester United around him. I fear then he might just learn a few things about life.

"Maybe someone should have knocked his teeth out a few years ago and none of this would have happened," Wilson added. (ANI)
