Adelaide, Jan 22(ANI): Australian spinner Nathan Lyon, who is certain to get a berth for the Adelaide Test, has been seeking guidance from former Test world-record holder Shane Warne.
The pair met following the January 20 game between Warne's Melbourne Stars and Lyon's Adelaide Strikers at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
"I had a brief chat to Warnie on the field after the game. He's a legend of the sport and the best spin bowler in the world. I got a few little things from there so it was fantastic," The Age quoted him, as saying.
Lyon declined to elaborate on their conversation, except saying that Warne had told him to keep enjoying the challenge.
He expressed confidence that he would put up an impressive display in Adelaide and added that he has made a minimal impact on the series so far partly because pace men had led the attack against India in the first three Tests.
"The pitch is only going to get lower and slower so hopefully it has a little bit more turn out there for me. I'm still confident in my own skill set. Hopefully if I get the nod here I'll be able to bowl a few long spells," Lyon said. (ANI)
