Jammu, Jan.20 (ANI): People's Democratic Party (PDP) activists staged a protest here on Friday against the Omar Abdullah-led coalition government's apathy towards the general public and demanded that patients suffering from major illnesses be airlifted to good hospitals for better treatment.
During the demonstration, a minor scuffle took place between the protestors and the police.
PDP workers claimed that the condition of the common man in the state was at stake due inefficiency of the ruling National Conference-Congress Party combine.
PDP legislator, Abdul Rahman Veeri said that existing problems were affecting the state's residents.
"There is a crisis prevailing in the region. I do not understand what is the government's problem," Veeri said.
Heavy snowfall, avalanches and landslides have marooned numerous people on the 302 km long national highway, connecting Jammu with summer capital Srinagar. (ANI)
