Washington, Jan 20 (ANI): Mansoor Ijaz, the Pakistani-American businessman key in the Memo Gate scandal, has reportedly been granted a one year multiple-entry visa to Pakistan after he personally visited the Pakistan High Commission in London.
Ijaz is poised to appear before a judicial commission investigating the Memo Gate scandal in Pakistan on January 24.
He is also due to appear before the Parliamentary Committee investigating the same case on January 26, The Express Tribune reports.
The Supreme Court had earlier issued directives that Ijaz be given army security on his arrival to Pakistan, after he expressed concerns about threats to his life over the same issue.
On Thursday, the Islamabad High Court dismissed a petition calling for the arrest of Ijaz, ruling that he cannot be arrested until he violates any Pakistani law. (ANI)
