Kolkata, Jan 18 (ANI): Leaders and politburo members of the Communist Party of India- Marxist (CPM) met in West Bengal for a second consecutive day on Wednesday to draft their future strategies and political resolutions.
Various CPM leaders including General Secretary Prakash Karat, politburo members Brinda Karat, V K Achyutananda and Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee were seen entering the party office to attend the four-day meet, which commenced on Tuesday in Kolkata city.
According to local media reports, the party will invite public opinion in a bid to gain their confidence.
The CPM is likely to come out with a final draft of its political and ideological resolutions by January 20.
The draft is expected to cover its poor results at recent elections in West Bengal and Kerala. (ANI)
