Oslo, Jan 14 (ANI): A Norwegian court has ordered a new psychiatric evaluation of mass killer Anders Behring Breivik, who claimed the lives of 77 people in twin terror strikes in Oslo on July 22, 2011.
"Due to the gravity of this case, the criminal responsibility must be examined again," the VG daily quoted a judge as saying.
According to The New York Post, the court appointed two experts to further evaluate Breivik's mental state.
In November, a 243-page psychiatric assessment, based on 13 interviews with Breivik, an interview with his mother and an examination of his medical history, claimed that Breivik had developed "paranoid schizophrenia."
But in January 2012, prison psychiatrists monitoring Breivik, ruled he is not psychotic and has not been put on medication.
Breivik, 32, has confessed to setting off a bomb that ripped through Oslo's government district, killing eight people, then opening fire at the summer camp of the governing Labor Party"s youth wing, killing another sixty-nine. (ANI)
