Ayodhya (U.P.), Aug.29 (ANI): A wild boar entered a village in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya district and attacked its residents.
It was spotted on Saturday in a thick growth near a temple. Regional forest rangers were called in to nab it.
It took some time to capture the animal.
"When I went to hit the wild boar, the animal attacked me. I tried to hit the animal with the bamboo but it attacked me," said Manoj Pandey, a victim.fter much chasing around and using batons, the locals and the forest rangers were successful in catching the animal.
Divisional Forest Officer A M Sidddiqi said they would release the animal in a nearby forest.
"These animals live in forests near the river. And, this is a very dangerous animal. We gathered the people and swimmers to help us to catch the animal. We released it in Tikri Forest," said Siddiqi, the Divisional Forest Officer of Faizabad District. By Amit Kumar (ANI)
