New Delhi, Jan 20 (ANI): US Defence Secretary Robert Gates met Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh here last evening.
The two leaders reportedly discussed the bilateral defence and strategic relationship.
Gates, who is on a two day visit to India, also met External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna amidst a desire by the United States to step up military co-operation.
The visit of Gates signifies the first high-level talks between the two countries after Manmohan Singh's visit to the US last November.
His visit comes at a time when India-US relations are at their best in decades. (ANI)
