Sino-Indian premiers to meet during ASEAN summit in Thailand

New Delhi, Oct 21 (ANI): Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabo will have an important meeting on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit in Thailand this week.

 

Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Hu Zhengyue provided the Information about the meeting.

 

Hu told reporters in Beijing that Wen and Singh would meet in Thailand during which they will discuss "bilateral relations, and regional and international issues".

 

"This meeting between the two prime ministers is a very important one. There has been good progress in our bilateral relationship and we hope this momentum can be sustained," Hu said.

 

The meeting comes in the backdrop of Beijing raking up its claim over Arunachal Pradesh by questioning Singh's visit there on October 3. (ANI)
