Moradabad (UP), Oct 2 (ANI): Preparations are on to light up Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad district, and production in firework industry gears up and hopes to do good business during the festival of lights, Diwali, which is to be celebrated on October 17.
With the government banning the import of firecrackers from China, the Indian brands hope to do well.he demand, this year, they said, is a lot and they are trying to catch up.
"The work is in full swing. We have lots of hope this Diwali also. Production is going in full swing. Although we are facing deficit, lack of supplies, the demand is far more than supply," said Deepak Katuriya, owner, Nimata Janta fireworks.
The manufacturers are also trying to be more and more innovative and creating crackers of various kinds, to match up the demand in the market.
The festival of 'Diwali' is celebrated to commemorate return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after completing 14 years in exile and killing demon king Ravana.ighting earthen lamps and bursting crackers on this day signify victory of good over evil.
The festival is celebrated on the first day of the lunar month of Kartik, which comes in the month of October or November. (ANI)
