Jodhpur, Aug 11 (ANI): Nine members of a Hindu family from Pakistan, who arrived in India, have decided not to return back as they said they do not feel safe and secure there.
The members who arrived in Jodhpur through Thar Express said they want to live in India as they feel at home.
"Tomorrow if something happens there, the people there would not support us. But we can depend on our people here. This place is better to live," said Mukesh, a Pakistani national.
"Because we are not Muslim, we find the country a foreign country. We feel a little insecure, so we want to live here," said Sarika, another Pakistani national.
The authorities said that the Indian Government has provisions for the Hindus from Pakistan who do not feel secure there. The immigrants will be allowed to stay provided they confirm to law.
"If they apply for residence as per norms, it will be considered, but at the same time no compromise would be done to country's security. All necessary actions will be taken for that," Narendra Deve, said a police inspector with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). (ANI)
