Jaipur, June 16 (ANI): Facing a scarcity of food and water for their camels, camel owners in Rajasthan are migrating to other states.
Herds of camel from different parts of Rajasthan like Kota, Bundi and Gauras can be seen in Madhya Pradesh, in search of food and water. The camel owners said that they have to face lot of troubles during their journey.
"Neither we nor our camel get anything to eat. We face a lot of trouble. Many camels die on the way. We keep on walking hungry and thirsty towards Yamuna River where we get water to drink. No one is heeding our problems," said A.K Raj, a camel owner. During the course of their journey, camel owners have to depend on food provided by the local people.
"We ask food from locals during our stopovers. There we tie our camels and entire night we have to keep a watch on them so that they don't trespass in fields," said Badri, a camel owner.
The camel owners want the government to make some arrangements for food and water for their camels during summers. They intend to return to Rajasthan when monsoon begins. By Lokendra Singh (ANI)
