Panchkula (Haryana) June 7 (ANI): Haryana police on Saturday seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition and arrested three persons in Panchkula.
Most of the weapons were stolen from a gun depot in Hoshiarpur, Punjab.
Police arrested the kingpin of the gang Rajiv alias Raja and his accomplices - Rekha Rani and Ramadeep from the National Highway 1 near Issargarh in Kurukshetra after a brief exchange of fire.
According to the police the gang had committed a series of robberies in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh.
"This is a very big success for Haryana police because those who have been nabbed had plans to spread terror in Punjab and Haryana.," said Rajiv Dalal, Director General of Police, Haryana. (ANI)
