Ranchi, June 1 (IANS) Three people were injured while trying to fight robbers who looted cash and other valuables worth Rs.200,000 from train passengers in Jharkhand, police said Monday.
Around 10 robbers raided a sleeper coach of a passenger train between Telo and Chandrapura railway stations Sunday night. They looted valuables from passengers at gun point.
Three passengers who tried to resist the robbers were beaten up and sustained injuries.
Passengers lodged a complaint after reaching Gomo railway station.
Over 10 train robberies have been reported in Jharkhand this year.
