International exhibition targeting the global tea and coffee industries, Tea & Coffee World Cup/ASIA 2008 lands at Hitex Hyderabad from November 20-22. Tea & Coffee World Cup (TCWC) exhibitions and seminars are held every year and attract the cream of the tea and coffee industries.
This year, the show touches down in India’s affluent and progressive southern city of Hyderabad. Hitex Exhibition Center, 30 minutes from the brand new international airport, will host international and domestic exhibitors and visitors to Tea & Coffee World Cup/ASIA 2008 from November 20–22.
Exhibits cover everything from leaf and bean to cup - including leaves, beans and cups. Plantation, processing, packing, packaging and preparation, from cutting-edge home and commercial beverage equipment and supplies to turn-key industrial solutions, vie for the visitors’ attention. The world’s most advanced tea and coffee equipment manufacturers and suppliers exhibit their latest and most popular models alongside exotic coffee beans and beverages and the world’s best teas at TCWC.
TCWC symposiums attract panels of tea and coffee industry experts presenting relevant and pertinent information in a series of affordable seminars and free-to-join events, including tea tasting, coffee cupping, barista training, marketing and product sampling.
The show is open to and well-supported by international and domestic visitors representing all aspects of the tea and coffee industries, as well as food and beverage retailers and wholesalers.
As a celebration of all things to do with the world’s two most popular beverages, tea and coffee, which between them give pleasure to billions and employ millions of people from around the world; the annual TCWC has earned its reputation as the leader in its field for over 13 years.
Rotating annually between Asia and Europe since 1995, past TCWC shows have been held in Vienna, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur, Rome, Singapore, Hamburg, Shanghai and Geneva. TCWC returns to Spain in 2009 when it visits Madrid on June 7-9. TCWC events are also held in the US, most recently in Miami last January, and the show will be held bi-annually in the Middle East beginning in the first half of 2010.
“Tea & Coffee World Cup shows are international events, with international exhibitors and visitors,” said Glenn A. John, the Bangkok-based publisher of Tea & Coffee Asia, which along with Tea & Coffee Trade Journal are the two supporting industry magazines. “We bring an international perspective with us, we bring with us years of experience, in-depth understanding of and affinity with the tea and coffee industry.” TCWC events are renowned in part for their unparalleled networking opportunities. Hyderabad is a centre of India’s booming IT sector and a regional communication hub, with the best exhibition facilities and the best international airport in India.
“Hyderabad is an exciting city and we know our visitors and exhibitors are going to enjoy a warm welcome and at this year’s world cup from November 20-22,” said John.
“Tea & Coffee World Cup events have been a consistent landmark in the growth of the popularity of tea and coffee worldwide over the last 13 years,” said Robert M. Lockwood, president of Lockwood Publications, owner of the Tea & Coffee World Cup brand and its two supporting magazines. “Specialty tea and coffee have grown and matured alongside more traditional products since the first Tea & Coffee World Cup was held in Vienna, Austria, in 1995. Tea & Coffee World Cup exhibitions have reached out and inspired generations of tea and coffee professionals, provided an effective platform for marketing and the development of products and services and showcases the best of everything in the tea and coffee universe. We are looking forward to bringing this important event to India, one of the world’s largest tea and coffee producers and consumers where so many people rely on the continued production and consumption of tea and coffee. India is dear to the heart of the international tea and coffee community, and we are looking forward to meeting old friends and new at the show.”
