Gays vote Adele as top pop artist

London, April 23 (IANS) Singer Adele has been named pop artist of the year by listeners of a gay radio station, Gaydar Radio here.

 

The Grammy award-winning singer was crowned a gay icon after she got 55 percent votes in the poll, carried out by the radio station, reports contactmusic.com.

 

Last year, Kylie Minogue took the title, while Lady Gaga took the second place.

 

"Adele has numerous Grammys and Brits, but this is the accolade she's been waiting for," said Robin Crowley, Gaydar's programme controller.
