Heritage steam engine attracts foreign tourists in Shimla

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), Oct 18 (ANI): A century-old heritage steam engine has been attracting tourists to Shimla to come and experience the scenic beauty of the hill station. The 113-year-old KC-520 steam engine that runs coaches on narrow gauze was restarted again by rail authorities in a bid to attract tourism. The train carrying 25 tourists in two coaches travelled for about 20 kilometres from Shimla to Kaithlighat. The engine, KC-520, runs on the Kalka-Shimla line and has been awarded world heritage status by UNESCO in 2008.
