AMARNATH YATRA RESUMES AFTER BRIEF HALT OVER CLASHES
The pilgrimage to Hindu shrine Amarnath has resumed today from both Baltal and Pahalgam routes after it was suspended over clashes that erupted in Baltal post a brawl between a non-local langar cook and a local Pony operator. The scuffle took such a serious turn that supporters of the cook and pony operator also got involved and the CRPF had to be called. The clashes left 40 injured and nearly 300 tents were set on fire.
