Visit to Bahu Fort, Jammu:
Visit to Bahu Fort is the most famous sightseeing tourist place in Jammu. It was constructed by Raja Bahu Lochan over 3,000 years ago and is the oldest fort in the city. It gives a mesmerizing view of while city as it is built on the bank of river Tawi. It also has a temple of Goddess Kali known as Bawe Wali Mata.

Patnitop is the most famous tourist spots and hill resort in Jammu region. This tourist place sees a record number of footfalls throughout the year. It is located 112 kms from Jammu and is at an altitude of 2024 m. The lush green meadow, mountains cape and pine trees offer a breathtaking view of the Chenab basin.
In winter this picnic spot gets covered in snow and people come here for skiing.
Mansar Lake, of Jammu:
Mansar Lake is a beautiful lake located 62 kms away from Jammu. It is surrounded by forest-covered hills. Tourist can also try boating in the lake.
At Baisakhi a food and crafts festival is organized by Jammu and Kashmir Tourism. This 1 mile long and half mile wide lake is a popular excursion and picnic spot in Jammu.
It is a holy place too as there is a shrine dedicated to Sheshnag, Umapati Mahadev temples, Narsimha temple and a temple of Durga. Newlyweds come here to perform three Parikarma around the lake to seek the blessings of Sheshnag. People also take a holy dip in the water of the lake on festive occasions.
The lake is a home to seasonal birds, tortoise and fishes. Nearby wild life sanctuary gives refuge to Spotted Deer, Neelgai, Cranes and Ducks.
Trip to Sanasar, Jammu:
Sanasar is a hill resort situated 129 kms away from Jammu and 19 kms from Patnitop. Like Patnitop, it too has a cup-shaped meadow place and a golf course. It is a great place for a quiet holiday. Paragliding is also available for tourists coming here.
Must to see Amar Mahal Palace, Jammu:
Amar Mahal Palace once a famous palace has now been converted into a Museum. Built in the nineteenth century by Raja Amar Singh, this palace is situated on the bank of Tawi River. It is famous for miniature paintings. It is made of red sandstone. The museum displays many historical artifacts including a golden throne made of 120 kg of pure gold, Pahari miniature and Kangra miniature paintings. It also has a library where more than 25,000 antique books and rare art collections are kept.
Ranbir Canal, Jammu
Ranbir Canal is a perfect picnic spot during summer and is just 2 kms away from Jammu. It has many small gardens embankments of Ranbir Canal serve as good viewpoints and pathways.
Dera Baba Banda, Jammu
On the bank of River Chinab is a Sikh pilgrimage place Baba Banda Bahadur who was a disciple of Shri Guru Govind Singh. Many pilgrims come here during Baisakhi festival. It has a 300-year-old Gurudwara built by Baba Banda Bairagi. It is 75 kms away from Jammu.
Mubarak Mandi Palace, Jammu:
Mubarak Mandi Palace was built in and around 1824. It encompasses Rajasthani, Mughal and European architecture style. Pink Hall of the palace is now known as Dogra Art Museum. It inhibits miniature painting of various hill schools.

Akhnoor is 32 kms away from Jammu city situated on the bank of Chenab River. It has a legend of Soni-Mahiwal. Ruins of the Indus-Valley Civilization are also left here that is seen by many visitors.
Jhajjar Kotli, Jammu:
Jhajjar Kotli is 35 kms away from Jammu. It is located on the banks of Jajjar rivulet. Cool water and atmosphere of Jajjar attracts picnickers during summer season. Cafeteria, Bar and a small Tourist Bungalow are available for tourists coming here.
