It is the oldest and one of the most sacred temples, which is regarded as one of the 51 Sidha Shakti Pithas in India. It is believed that the name of city Patna is based on that very temple, Patan Devi. Puranic sources say that the right thigh of the corpse of Sati had fallen at the place and it was later known as Maa Sarvanand Kari Patneshwari.
Padri-ki-Haveli: It is one of the oldest church in Bihar which is knows as St. Marry's Church. It has its own historical importance, which was established in 1713 as Catholic first arrives in Patna. It had suffered many ups and downs from its constructions. It was destroyed by some ruler during 1763 in internal enmity and reconstructed. Initially it had a dimension of 70 feet in length, 40 ft wide and 50 feet in height. Though it has suffered many damages, yet it is a center of attractions for the visitors.
