Mother Teresa, harbinger of humanity, propagator of manhood, treasure of mercy, angel of God, incarnation of sympathy, appreciator of heavenly beauty is one of the greatest personalities of the world. She has her birth land and service land different. She is the original resident of Albania but idealised India as her motherland and served throughout her life here. She is the typical humanitarian person who founded missionaries of charity in Kolkata, India in 1950 under the impact of Christianity. And managed this charity missionary and carried out her auspicious duty in serving the poor, sick, homeless, orphans and downtrodden people of the society. Mother Teresa was born in 1910 in Albania. Completing her education, she joined in Christian missionary and visited India under the impact of Roman Catholic and taught in a school in Calcutta. Though a teacher she was being frequently disturbed by the poor and ill condition of the people living in and around her thus she gave up luxurious way of life and maintained it as a common man and shared the sorrows of others with her and helped them with what she did have. In 1948 Mother Teresa adopted Indian citizenship and vowed to serve the drought-affected people and the sick homeless and orphans. She also opened a missionary society in Calcutta for the free treatment of patients and took the responsibility of their care in her own hands. This service of her to the under-developed and marginalized brought to her the greatest prize of the world Nobel Peace prize in 1979 and many more global honours, awards, and recognition.
