The Sidhdhi Dhamaal dance of Gujarat were performed by artists at Lal Chowk, Pragati Maidan on the concluding day of the 21st World Book Fair. Siddis are a Negroid ethnic group of western India, largely found in Saurashtra and Rajpipla. Their name is synonymous with the Dhamal dance. This unique Dhamaal dance is performed by Siddi community of Gujarat. In this dance form the dancers dance with two thin sticks exhibiting their art and skill while dancing. This dance displays the gestures of animals and birds.
