In a change in union cabinet President, Pratibha Devisingh Patil administering the oath as Cabinet Minister of railway to Mukul Roy at a Swearing-in Ceremony, organized at Rashtrapati Bhawan, in New Delhi. He will be a minister from Trinamool Congress quota. Mukul Roy has become Union Railway Minister replacing Dinesh Trivedi, who was asked to quit over hike in passenger fares. Mukul Roy has been a trusted lieutenant of Mamata Banerjee's pressure.
