Trooper shoots platoon commander in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, May 20 (IANS) A constable of the State Armed Force (SAF) gunned down his platoon commander in Chhattisgarh Wednesday, the police said.

The accused Madhav Singh was arrested after he shot his senior Radhelal at Rajnandgaon town, District Superintendent of Police V.K. Choubey told IANS by phone.

Rajnandgaon is 75 km from here. The accused and the deceased belonged to the 8th battalion of the SAF.

Choubey said that the accused opened fire after a dispute with the platoon commander. Radhelal was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
