Chandigarh, July 16 (ANI): Rebel Congress MP from Bhiwani, Kuldeep Bishnoi has said that he would vote against the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) coalition in the Lok Sabha on July 22 during the trust vote.
Bishnoi said: "I have been raising my voice against the Congress-led UPA's anti-people policies. I don't want to commit political suicide, and therefore, there is no question of my voting in their favour."
Bishnoi said that he had recently written a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, citing ten objections to the Indo-US civil nuclear deal.
He said that he had submitted his resignation to the Lok Sabha Speaker long ago, but it is yet to be accepted.
"I fear that the Congress may disqualify me anytime," Bishnoi said and added that he had been asked to appear before the Lok Sabha privileges committee for his alleged anti-defection activities.
Last year, in December, Bishnoi had floated his own political outfit, the Haryana Janhit Congress.
The Congress has nine MPs out of 10 Lok Sabha MPs in Haryana, including Bishnoi while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has a lone MP from Sonepat. (ANI)
