London, Dec.14 (ANI): The England football team and its management has decided to ban WAGS staying in the team hotel during next summer's tour of South Africa.
WAGS like Kelly Brook, Zara Phillips, Charlotte Church and Ali Bastian must find alternative accommodation, the Daily Star reports.
WAGS were famously allowed to stay with England players the night before they won the World Cup in 2003. But that won't happen before any of the Tests against Springboks.
Lions boss Ian McGeechan, who will hand the players a code of conduct before they leave in May, says that team bonding will be a huge part of the trip.
While the players won't be banned from seeing their glamourous other-halves, McGeechan doesn't want a media circus every time the players have a night out.
He is keen to avoid the sort of headlines England players gained last summer during their two-match tour of New Zealand.
"We will have a code of conduct. There is now a huge responsibility on a Lions group, simply because of the numbers that follow it. The Lions are now probably the biggest product in world rugby. I want people to think more about the Lions badge when we are over there," he said. (ANI)
