Lucknow, Nov 28 (IANS) At least four live crude bombs, a country made pistol and cartridges were recovered from a flour mill in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj district, police said Friday.
'Acting on a tip-off, we raided the flour mill in Khanderevar village of Kannauj Thursday late night and recovered a sack containing bombs, firearm and cartridges,' deputy superintendent of police S.P. Mishra told IANS by telephone. Kannauj is about 250 km from here.
He said the explosives have been sent for testing to ascertain their intensity. Also, the owner of the flour mill has been arrested and is being interrogated.
Asked whether the incident is linked to any planned terror attack, Mishra said: 'Only after the completion of an enquiry, which is underway, anything can be said.'
