Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, the movie with an apt title had to suffer the thrash of confusion with the similar titled movie released in the same week. The film directed and produced by Kunal Kohli brings some fresh but not unpredictable concept and scenes before the viewers.
Though Kunal has casted the popular Hum Tum Jodi again in this movie, there are rare chances of the movie repeating the same chartbuster records. Kunal has not strayed from the regular Bollywood stuff, so one doesn’t find much experimentation in the movie. Although the film has been well promoted, it doesn’t seem to rise up to the level of popularity of Fanna.
Compared with Kunal’s earlier films Fanna and Hum Tum, the movie stands nowhere. But it still is a family entertainment movie. The most remarkable factor of the movie is the part played by the children (aged 5-11). Their acting is finely polished and they project themselves in the most natural manner.
Saif Ali Khan fits aptly into the character of a haughty businessman Ranbeer, who predictably transforms after the encounter and later a close acquaintance with Nanny, the angel played by Rani Mukherjee.
Rani appears to be a bit mature and unfit for the role she is casted in. Amisha allures the audience with her hot appearance and sensuous number in Lazy Lamhe as she plays the part of Malaika, Ranbeer’s girlfriend.
But for whom does Saif falls at the end is the obvious and not much twisty guess. Though the movie fails to mark a remarkable achievement, it does serve the purpose of family entertainment especially the kids.
