Kolkata, Nov 11 (IANS) Brazilian actor Djin Sganzerla, whose film 'Meu Nome e Dindi' (My Name is Dindi) was screened Tuesday evening at the 14th Kolkata Film Festival here, professes to be a 'great' Krishna devotee.

'I am a great Krishna devotee. I believe that it's by his blessings that I have become a successful actor in just two years in this profession,' Djin told reporters Tuesday prior to the screening of her film here.

She revers Lord Krishna so much that she wants to play Krishna's love Radha in the near future.

'If I get a chance I will play a Gopi or a Radha on screen in future. Maybe, some day I will also make a film on Krishna with lot of imagination and love,' said the 21-year-old actor.

'This is my first visit to India. During my next visit I will definitely go to Mathura and Vrindavan (the birth place of Krishna).'

The actor said Indian culture and spirituality has become a part of her life.

'During my stay in London while studying film and acting, I interacted with a lot of Indians and got to know about their culture and spirituality. I am also influenced by Buddhism, have seen lot of Hindi films, tucked in Indian sweets and food and even know how to wear a sari,' she said.

Born to director Rogerio Sganzerla and actor Helena Ignez, Djin has already acted in six films.

In her seventh film 'My Name is Dindi' directed by Bruno Safadi, she plays the main protagonist - Dindi, a young greengrocery owner who is on the verge of bankruptcy in Rio de Janeiro. The story is about how she struggles for her existence, persecuted by a moneylender and a strange old man.

'The film released on Friday and I heard that by the grace of Lord Krishna it is receiving very good response in Brazil,' Djin said.

Asked how will she rate the film on a scale of 10, Djin said: 'From the audience point of view, I will give this film 7 out of 10.'
