After celebrating the success of one year in the power yesterday the UP chief minister Mayawati jumped into another imbroglio with Samajwadi Party after she allegedly allowed the UP police team to raid on SP leader Amar Singh's residence in Kolkata on Monday night.
The raid was criticised sharply by the SP president Mulayam Singh who has threatened to expose the misdeeds entertained by Mayawati. Accusing her of framing Amar Singh under false cases he distributed a CD among reporters to prove his point that the raid was a political vendetta.
Mulayam Singh told the reporters that Singh was being harassed because he arranged two luxury buses to ferry Amitabh Bachchan family and other VIPs to Daulatpur in Barabanki while inaugurating the college named after Aishwarya Bachchan in the beginning of this year.
He said that police found that the addresses of the bus owner registered were fake and FIRs were registered, further the ex-chief minister said that even Investigating Officer K K Dwivedi had admitted that he was pressurised by Mayawati and other officials to frame Amar Singh and Amitabh Bachchan in the case.
Attacking her he said that in the past too Mayawati ordered a raid in the factory owned by Amar Singh in Ghaziabad on the grounds of power theft and had tried to impose POTA on him and his son Akhilesh.
Interestingly this press conference also noticed a mellowed tone towards Congress when Mulayam told the media persons, “Mayawati could win a majority only because the UPA government had helped her in the last elections by deploying central forces. She is so ungrateful that instead of accepting that she owes her victory to the UPA, she is attacking it on every opportunity.”
He later accused her of accumulating wealth through corrupt means and indulging in bitter feud while contending her of not knowing where Mulayam comes from.
He reflected on his motive to expose that how the Mayawati government falsely implicated Bachchan and Amar Singh in fake cases and showed his keenness to open the pandora box which will expose Mayawati's government.
Mulayam claimed that two and half quintals of explosive material from the Orai railway station were seized during his regime in which two minister of Mayawati government were involved and that she requested the then Rajya Sabha member Amar Singh to get the case dropped.
With this incident UP politics showed another case of personal animosity, also it cut a sorry figure for Mayawati's part who has been advocating social engineering in the state divided strongly on casteist base. Earlier, her personnel rivalry surfaced when Supreme Court denied to entertain any case related to Barabanki land scam against Amitabh Bachchan.
