Some of India's most influential trade organisations have put their support behind the up-coming China Sourcing Fair trade shows to be held this month in Mumbai.
There will be two China Sourcing Fairs in India: The China Sourcing Fair: Electronics & Components, and the China Sourcing Fair: Hardware & Building Materials. The events will be held November 14-16, 2008, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, in the Goregaon area of Mumbai.
The China Sourcing Fairs are organised by trade publisher and trade show organiser Global Sources (NASDAQ: GSOL). In India, the events are being organized in cooperation with partner company Pico Event Management, a company that has managed professional business-to-business events in India for years.
The Fairs are supported by:
- The Indian Merchants' Chamber (IMC), the premier business organisation that has represented and advocated Indian businesses for 101 years. www.imcnet.org.
- The Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA), India's oldest and largest electronics association promoting the electronics and IT industries. www.elcina.com.
- The Builders' Association of India (BAI), the leading construction industry association in India that has worked toward the highest standards of efficiency, quality and safety since 1941. www.buildersindia.com.
"India's economy grew just over 9 percent last year, an impressive growth rate. With huge demand in the electronics segment and the boom in India's construction industry, we believe these China Sourcing Fair exhibitions are perfectly timed to support India's economic expansion," said Bill Janeri, General Manager at Global Sources. "We appreciate the support of these business groups that have played an important role in the development of industry in India."
Launched originally in 2003, the China Sourcing Fairs have attracted thousands of buyers to Hong Kong, China and Dubai to meet directly with manufacturers from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
