June 14: Style and class, are the only words which best describe and give an idea about the new entry to the list of Tata motors- Tata Indigo Dicor.
Innovative feature of Sedan is its Dicor engine (Direct Injection Common Rail Engine) which works more efficiently than usual diesel engines. Tata Indigo Dicor LS and Tata Indigo Dicor Lx are its two versions.
Indigo Dicor is a blend of sophisticated technology and comfort. The 16-valve engine provides more power output and ensures optimum utilization minimum waste of fuel. Mileage conscious will hail it with smile.
Besides good space and long range of colours, mileage and riding comfort of car are key features. Average mileage is 16.3 km/litre in highway and 11 km/litre in city. Efficient air conditioner, power steering, power windows, fog lamps and body colour bumpers, folding rear seat and huge boot space, are added features which set it apart from other cars of the segment.
With output of 70bhp, the 1.4 litre turbo charged Dicor engine of 140 NM torque makes Sedan technically efficient. With low friction mechanisms and pressure injections, its environment friendly nature will certainly add popularity to it.
The range of Rs. 5.25 lacs onwards earns Sedan the reputation of being one of the cheapest diesel options in the segment, which might increase its preferences over earlier diesel launch of Rs. 6.15 lacs rupees.
Sedan in the segment is an attractive catch being a value for money. Termed as a family car with fuel economy, space and good mileage Dicor seems to be a good deal over all.
