Lucknow, Oct 24 (IANS) Two suspected Maoists were nabbed with nearly 40 detonators and two country-made pistols in a Naxalite-affected area of Uttar Pradesh, police said Friday.
'The Maoists were nabbed late Thursday evening in Maidhi village of Chandauli district, some 270 kms from Lucknow,' police inspector Pradeep Singh told IANS over phone.
He said preliminary investigations reveal that both the Maoists belong to Bihar and were planning explosions in Uttar Pradesh. Documents about forthcoming Naxalite meetings in the state were also recovered from them.
