Bhubaneswar, Oct 16 (IANS) Hundreds of party workers, ministers and legislators greeted Orissa chief minister Naveen Patnaik with flowers as he turned 62 Thursday.
'Patnaik started the day as usual and met people at his residence Naveen Nivas,' an official of chief minister's residential office told IANS.
It was a quiet birthday like those of past years and Patnaik accepted only flowers. He came out of his room at about 10 a.m. and met people for over an hour. He went to the secretariat (office) at 11.45 a.m., the official added.
Patnaik was born in Orissa's Cuttack city to late chief minister Biju Patnaik.
